Fixed-Size Newspaper Advertisements:

Here are the common sizes for display ads in newspapers:

a. Full Page Newspaper Advertisement (25.4 cm X 38 cm): This ad type is the most powerful, filling an entire page. For front-page ads, the maximum size for a half-page is 32.9 cm x 48 cm due to the newspaper's masthead.
b. Horizontal Half Page Newspaper Advertisement (25.4 cm X 18.5 cm): These ads split the page horizontally into two sections. The dimensions for this ad are 32.9 cm wide and 25 cm tall, covering an area of 825 sq cm. This format is also a favored option for advertisers, similar to full-page ads.
 c. Vertical Half Page Newspaper Advertisement (12.5 cm X 33 cm): Using vertical half-page ads is becoming more common. While most advertisers choose horizontal half-page ads, vertical placements can attract more attention. The largest size allowed for a vertical half-page ad in FrontPage is 16 cm x 46 cm because of the newspaper's masthead.
f. Pointer newspaper advertisements are small ads measuring (6 cm by 5 cm): covering an area of 20 square centimeters. Advertisers are required to place at least 30 inserts, though exceptions can be made.
g. Jacket advertisements: consist of additional pages that hold ads and are positioned before the main front page. Jackets are highly sought after for premium advertising and attract many high-budget advertisers. The sizes for jackets are:
Jacket Front Side: 25 cm wide by 33 cm high
Jacket Back Side:  25 cm wide by 38 cm high
For Variable or Custom-sized newspaper ads, there are various options available. The smallest acceptable size for a custom-sized display ad is 30 square centimeters, except for front-page ads, which require a minimum of 200 square centimeters.
Some popular dimensions for ads include:
6 cm wide by 5 cm long
12 cm wide by 8 cm long
12 cm wide by 12 cm long
12 cm wide by 20 cm long
18 cm wide by 20 cm long
Detailing of Factor 2:

 i) Page Position: Based on page position rate changes or extra premium is charged e,g. The rate for premium pages like the front, last, page 3 is always higher than any other page.

 ii) Total Ad Volume: Based on the ad size (quarter, half, etc) and the number of inserts (1,2,3, etc), rates do change. The higher the total volume of the business more the discount percentage is applicable. 

d. Quarter Page Newspaper Advertisement (12.5 cm X 16.5 cm): A quarter-page ad covers one-fourth of a newspaper page. Most advertisers prefer to place it in the lower right corner of the page.
e. Skybus Newspaper Advertisement (25.4 cm X 5 cm): Skybus ads are narrow and run across the entire width of the newspaper, located just below the newspaper's title. They usually appear on the front page and cover about 165 square centimeters.
